Fun Investment Video: Invest in what you know

For this weekends reading, lets bring our eyes and ears some happiness.

I know of no better way to describe the investment opportunities in front of consumers than to show you this quick animated white board video talking about the global consumption theme, currently >$30 trillion per year, through an investment in the most relevant, innovative brands winning our mind and wallet share. Nowhere is there another stock strategy that has this dedication to the consumption theme and that’s dedicated to the brands that matter most.

Everyone owns equities in some fashion, but how much exposure do you have to the single largest, most predictable market on the planet? I’m guessing NOT nearly enough given how large the opportunity is around the world. 10 years into the cycle, with economic growth slowing around the world, isn’t it prudent to be laser focused on important themes that have risk management embedded inside the strategy? I think so.

Peter Lynch, famous investor managed the Magellan Fund with this “know what you own” philosophy and based on his track record (below) while running the fund, that might be something to emulate.
