International Top Brands
Consumer spending accounts for roughly 60% of world GDP making tracking the consumption theme vital for an investor. Brand loyalty is a key driver of consumer behavior so the most recognized, most relevant brands across important consumption categories are the ideal group of companies to invest in the global consumption theme. Our Alpha Brands Consumer Spending Index tracks 200 of the most valuable brands primarily serving U.S. consumers (learn more under brands in the brands index section). This index of 200 brands is 85% U.S. domiciled and 15% non-U.S. domiciled and rebalanced every December to reflect changes in brand leadership and consumer behavior.
The rise of the middle class around the world, particularly in developing economies offers another significant investment opportunity. That’s why I’ve created a second “top brands” index. Below, I have listed a Top 100 International Brands Index. This serves as the starting point for a more concentrated, Top 20 International Brands Portfolio.
